Incident Report August: Week 1 & 2

03/08/18
Break-in, through the roof, occurred in the morning at a hardware store in Elliot Road. The alarm was not armed the night before.



03/08/18

Burglary in the afternoon, Hartley Qina Street in Ikwezi. The alarm was not armed but the suspect was caught and handed over to police.



08/08/18

Multiple alarm signals received late at night from a wholesaler on Sutherland Street, primary keyholders could not be reached initially to access the store. Intruders had entered through the roof, nothing was stolen but the alarm system was damaged.

A client called in an attempted burglary at a store on Bridge Street. Intruders unsuccessfully tried to make a hole in the wall.

A break-in was reported on Corona Street, a T.V. was stolen. 



09/08/18

Alarm signal received, attempted burglary on Craister Street though nothing was taken.

In the night a panic signal was received from a guest house on Callaway Street, intruders were on the premises but had fled with nothing once the response team arrived.

Break-in at a store in Butterworth, a large sum of money and cellphones were taken. The alarm was not armed but was faulty.

A panic signal was received around closing hours from a fast-food outlet on Sutherland Street, 7 armed suspects took the money from the tills. Gunfire was exchanged with the response team, no one was injured and suspects escaped.

Break-in was reported on Mlonyeni Street, the suspect used a key and was most likely a prior employee. Nothing was stolen.

13/08/18
An attempted burglary was reported at a store on Madeira Street, the response was dispatched. Suspects had made a hole in the roof. Nothing was stolen.



13/08/18

Alarm signal was received from a warehouse on Errol Spring Avenue, the response was dispatched arriving almost immediately. Intruders broke through the front door, cameras were damaged.

While the above burglary was being investigated on Errol Spring Avenue the response team noticed another warehouse with the front garage door open and what looked like the loss of stock. Relevant personnel were informed.
