In the early hours, there was an attempted burglary at a bottle store in Qunu. The back door was damaged but nothing was stolen.
22/09/18
Protek was alerted to a break-in at a mini market on Bridge Street. Three suspects were pursued, two of which escaped while we apprehended one suspect who now has a case opened against him.
23/09/18
A guest house in Norwood had an individual check into a room who then, with an accomplice, stole two TVs by threatening the security guard with knives. The panic button was only pressed after the suspects had left.

Signals were received from a liquor store in Tsolo, suspects drove a vehicle through the wall and made off with alcohol and an empty safe. It is reported that shots were fired at SAPS.

A guard at a supermarket in Southernwood alerted Protek about people stealing diesel from a generator. A suspect was arrested with his vehicle and handed over to police.
26/09/18
Responded to an alarm going off at a school. On arrival, a break-in was confirmed, no sign of the suspects and nothing was taken.
28/09/18
A client called reporting a break-in at their business. Intruders broke through a door and stole a contractor's tools, a couch, and food. The alarm was not armed and had carelessly been disconnected before.

A caretaker at a private school was held up at gunpoint by three suspects. They stole a generator and a cellphone, fortunately, the caretaker was unharmed and only managed to alert Protek after the incident.

An armed robbery occurred at a store on Madeira Street. 4 suspects entered the store around lunchtime and stole money from the cash registers. The panic buttons were only pressed after the criminals had left.

2 armed suspects assaulted a security guard at a hardware store, he managed to fight back and press the panic button causing them to flee. They were gone by the time the response arrived.
